A mineral recovery (clay and surface mined coal), landfill and land regeneration scheme was the subject of an earlier and unsuccessful planning application. There was no supporting public affairs plan at that stage. Two years later Jennings Nicholson was assigned to support the planning application for a revised proposal.

Result

A planned and proactive communications campaign was vigorously implemented, resulting in overwhelming approval for the planning application by the County Council's Environmental Committee.
